What I have been reading - 4th November 2019
There was a lot this week. Here are my top picks:
The Spectrum of Wealth: This is such a thoughtful article. Read it and let me know what number you are.
Twilight of the Stock Pickers: Hedge Fund Kings Face a Reckoning: Hedge funds have had a horrible time of late - since 2010 they have underperformed the S&P 500 by nearly 9% per annum, on average. The reason? They're no longer especially good at picking stocks.
Is buying stocks at an All-Time High a good idea?: No, it's not a good idea. It's a GREAT idea. Surprising huh?
Super-rich prepare to leave UK 'within minutes' if Labour wins election: I am not sure what to say about this, except crikey.
How to spend your money, according to science: I have talked about this many times before, but we all need reminding. "It's not the act of buying but how you spend money that improves happiness and life satisfaction."
FINALLY:
'After his death, I didn't cook anymore': Widows on the pain of dining alone: I found this article incredibly moving. Sharing food is one of life's great joys.
ENJOY!
