What I have been reading - 30th March 2020
Here’s what caught my eye this week:
The greatest investment quotes of all time: These quotes have stood the test of time.
Two things can be true at once: "Sometimes it's fine to have conflicting emotions, because two opposite things can be true at the same time." Wonderful words from Morgan Housel.
What you truly value: "Our devotion to our values gets tested in the face of a true crisis. But it's also an opportunity to reconnect, recommit, and sometimes, bake some bread." I love this article and it was funny to read because only this morning I googled 'bread recipe'.
UK coronavirus home testing to be made available to millions: The good news is out there, it really is out there.
Rational Panic, but also Rational Hope: A sensible and balanced opinion piece from The New York Times.
Hope, Faith, and Destiny: "We are making society-altering decisions using bad data." There is some really interesting data in this article - again, the good news is out there!
FINALLY:
It took a global pandemic, but Generation X is finally getting love: This article made me smile. It made me think back to when I was 9 or 10 and used to spend all Sunday afternoon listening to "Top Of The Pops" with a black cassette tape and the record button.
Stay fit and healthy all of you.
Best
